This week on Nollywood YouTube delivered exactly the kind of range that keeps you watching late into the night. Seven films across different genres, different moods, different languages, and every single one earned its place on this list.

1. Abawon by Aisha Lawal on Aishat Lawal TV opens the week in spectacular fashion. This one is a banger in the truest sense of the word. Aisha Lawal has built one of the most consistent filmographies in Yoruba cinema, and with Abawon she adds another strong title to a catalogue that has been running since her breakthrough in Irugbin. It has the kind of energy that reminds you why her audience keeps showing up every time she drops something. Watch here:

2. God in the Room is the second pick and it is very good. A film that takes faith, love, and the tension between the two seriously, and handles all of it with a confidence that makes the story easy to stay inside. Watch here:

3. After Loss features Eso Dike and he was great here. Dike has spent the last few years quietly building one of the most impressive range records in Nollywood, from his Tinsel days to his box office work in Ijakumo and The Wildflower, and After Loss gives him material that lets that range show. Emotional, grounded, and worth every minute. Watch here:

4. Derin vs Life 2 stars Irewolede Olaniyan, Gabriel Afolayan, and Tunde Aderinoye and continues a story that already had people invested. The second part delivers on what the first one set up, and Gabriel Afolayan in particular reminds you that he never disappoints when the material is right. Watch here:

5. Lagos Big Girls is a Lagos story about ambition, friendship, and the cost of chasing a certain kind of life in a city that does not slow down for anyone. Sharp and very watchable. Watch here:

6. Wife Material on Libra TV rounds out the main picks and if you have not seen it yet, this is your reminder. Directed by Muhydeen S. Ayinde and starring Biola Bayo, Seilat Adebowale, and Debbie Shokoya, the film follows a feminist podcaster who takes on a matchmaking academy as an assignment and ends up questioning everything she thought she knew about love.
