Joseph Kanu

I am Joseph Bobson Elijah Kanu, professionally known as VANGUARD X KANU, an aspiring actor from Sierra Leone with a strong passion for storytelling, filmmaking, and bringing characters to life. I am a versatile performer, open to a wide range of roles across drama, action, romance, comedy, thriller, and other film genres. I am ready to perform emotional scenes, portray challenging characters, and explore different personalities while bringing authenticity, commitment, and depth to every performance. Beyond acting, I can sing and play both traditional and modern drums. I also have a background in dance training and an interest in martial arts, including Wing Chun. These additional skills give me opportunities to explore diverse characters and contribute to productions that involve music, dance, action, and cultural performances. Although I am at the beginning of my professional acting journey, I am committed to improving my craft, learning from experienced filmmakers, and taking every audition seriously. I am open to opportunities in Nollywood and across the wider West African film industry, including productions that accept self-tape auditions. My goal is to build a lasting acting career through hard work, discipline, creativity, and dedication. I believe every opportunity is a chance to grow, demonstrate my abilities, and make a meaningful contribution to a production. My motto is: “Dream • Believe • Work.” I am ready to audition, challenge myself, and bring stories to life.
