Late actress, singer and beauty queen Jessica Ifunanyachukwu Ndigwe, popularly known as JessCee, was laid to rest on Saturday 5th September 2026 in Awka, Anambra State, amid tears, prayers, and an outpouring of love from family, friends, colleagues, and fans who gathered to say their final goodbye.
The burial, which took place at the family compound of her father, Prince Ikechukwu Henry Ndigwe, known as Mbuze Awka, at No. 4 Prince Ikechukwu Ndigwe Street, Odera Estate, behind Immigration, Awka, was preceded by a Service of Songs held on Friday 4th September 2026. Her body left Apex Mortuary on Secretariat Road at 10:00am on Saturday morning before proceeding to the family home for the final rites.
Among those who gathered to pay their last respects were members of her family from Umuayom Village, Amaenyi, Awka South Local Government Area, alongside friends, well-wishers, and a number of her co-stars from Class of Secrets, the web series in which she played Octavia in Season 2.

Jessica died in a fatal car accident on Saturday 29th August 2026, just eight days before she was laid to rest. She was 23 years old. Born on 14th August 2003, her death came barely two weeks after her birthday and only days after the release of Konami, the single that had been finding new listeners at the time the accident happened and that those who knew her were still playing when the news broke.
She represented Awka South Local Government Area at the Teen Queen Anambra State Grand Final in 2018, competed in the Face of Glamorous Queen Miss Culture 2022 competition, appeared in the web series Mostly Straight in 2021, took on the role of Octavia in Class of Secrets Season 2, and developed a music catalogue under the name JessCee that included Loyal, Halle, Won't Lie, MR MAN, and songwriting credits including Woza, released in 2024.
